Acumatica Summit 2020
The AIM team had a wonderful time at the Acumatica Summit 2020 in Las Vegas. There was a record attendance this year of more than 2,500 partners, customers, media and analysts that participated in the summit. The opening keynote was done by CEO Jon Roskill where he discussed the enormous amount of growth Acumatica sees year over year. The investment in technology and the advancement of the Acumatica product was apparent during the keynotes. 74% of Acumatica employees are dedicated to the technology and advancement of the Acumatica product offerings.
Payroll module was officially released as a part of Acumatica 2020R1. This will allow accountants to run in-house payroll and is the most sought after module of the year. It has advanced features that allow for payroll processing for both salaried as well as hourly workers. It also includes key features such as ACA reporting, w-2, direct deposit advise slips and so much more! It has integrated taxes and tax forms (supports all US Federal, State, & Local taxes), certified wages, deductions and benefits, union wages, flexible payroll periods and time-card integration with overtime rules.
It was also announced that Acumatica has partnered with BDO, an international network of public accounting, tax, consulting and business advisory firms which perform professional services. The Acumatica Manufacturing edition has made significant improvements due to the acquisition of JAAS Systems that offer a complete solution for engineer-to-order, made-to-stock, project centric, job shop, batch and repetitive manufacturing companies. There is also an integration now with Adobe which will allow users to work with Adobe documents within Acumatica. We also got to witness firsthand new technological inventions that work with Acumatica to better improve distribution. AIM is excited to be a part of this growing community.
Awards at the Summit
Velixo is an excel based reporting system for Acumatica where you can build your financial and projects in excel with live data within a few minutes. It is the only reporting tool of its kind designed exclusively for Acumatica by Acumatica experts. You can connect using your Acumatica login credentials and start building Excel spreadsheets. You can easily update the cells to see the P&L of another branch, or run it for a different financial period. Any spreadsheet that requires GL or PM data will majorly benefit from Velixo reports. Cash flow statements, sales dashboards, budgets, allocations and accrual calculations, inter-company dales eliminations, project progress reports are just some examples of what customers have created with Velixo Reports. Charts, graphics, KPIs can also be incorporated easily into any spreadsheet.
You can also automatically email, export, or share multiple versions of the same report with a single click. Report distribution is customizable so you can include different tabs or set specific parameters based on who’s going to receive it. You can export as Excel, PDF or Values. For more security, you have the ability to password protect your files.
You can also create and post GL entries without leaving excel. The content and amounts of the GL entry can be dynamic and based on Excel formulas. There is a lot more you can do with Velixo.
